Summer 2024

The UK-MENA Network's inaugural trip to Jordan provided an unparalleled opportunity for members to engage directly with political leaders, explore rich cultural heritage, and understand the contemporary challenges and initiatives within the region.

The trip began with a series of high-profile meetings including discussions at the International Republican Institute and with the Prime Minister of Jordan. The delegation explored Jordan's political landscape and ongoing modernization efforts. The day concluded with visits to significant cultural sites, providing a deeper insight into Jordan's rich historical legacy.

Day 1

Highlights of the second day included a meeting with HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, offering profound insights into the regional politics and humanitarian issues. The delegation also visited the Al Hussein Refugee Camp, interacting with the community and gaining perspective on the refugee crisis.
