
The Middle East Association's Young Professional Group Event
The Middle East Association (MEA) has kindly invited members of the UK-MENA Network to their Young Professional’s Group event, in collaboration with RUSI Next Gen.
The event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Claire Spencer (MEA Board Member), with speakers including Rachael Liss (Policy Coordinator at The Alliance for Middle East Peace) and Urban Coningham (RUSI). The Palestinian Head of Mission to the UK will be the main speaker.

Webinar: Liberalisation in the Omani Energy Market

Premiere Screening Episode 2 of A House of Wonders
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman, in collaboration with the British Omani Society, has graciously extended an invite to the premiere screening of Episode 2 of the award-winning film A House of Wonders.
During this event attendees will view Episode 2, 'The Age of Caravans -Tippu Tip' (55 min.), which is narrated by the House of Wonders in Stonetown, Zanzibar. The episode discusses elements of exchange between Oman and East Africa by tracing the life and deeds of one of the most controversial characters in the Sultanate's history.

The event will also feature a pre-screening talk by the director, followed by a Q&A session with the film's co-producer and co director, Friedrich Kluetsch.
The session will be chaired by Stuart Laing, former Chairman of the Society, and copies of a new edition of his biography of Tippu Tip, signed if you would like, will be available for members to purchase (cash only please, £25 - change cannot be provided). Please feel free to bring existing copies for the author's signiture.

International Day of Tolerance
The Network has been generously granted several invitations to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance at the Palace of Westminster, courtesy of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This is an annual event marking the importance of respecting religious freedoms, religious tolerance, and encouraging religious dialogue.
